The food scene in Dubai has already started to expand. Though some place could get too overcrowded and drown you with endless options for dining, there are some which are tucked away from the crowd yet offers an experience that comes at par and even supersedes that of the mainstream restaurants around the city.
One restaurant that I managed to discover was PFire. It is located at The Greens Village which is basically away from the city crowd. The restaurant has been around for 2 years but it was just recently that they started to re brand their name and called themselves PFire.
The restaurant specializes in serving homemade and succulent pizzas that are highly addicting. They also offer wide options of side dishes, pasta, and dessert.
When I and my friends dined in there, We were lucky to meet the owner of the place named Bryan. He was very accommodating and hospitable that he even recommended us for some items that we should try. From what he recommended we tried the following:
STARTERS:
Garlic Knots - Bread Knots that's generously topped with garlic butter sauce then finished with Parmesan and served with a side of Gorgonzola ranch.
The taste of buttered garlic in this soft knotted bread is heavenly. Even without the ranch, I can still enjoy this started dish.
PASTA:
Penne and Alfredo Pasta - scratch made alfredo, grilled chicken, fresh mushrooms, parsley.
This white sauce pasta was good for me though, in my opinion, it could have been better with more sauce on it. Some parts were a bit dry and some were fairly delicious.
PIZZA:
Pepperoni Primo - A staple pie that's seasoned with tomato sauce, filled with pepperoni pizza and smothered with goat cheese.
My favorite part of the meal and this comes with a shocker. They probably have the best quality of pepperoni meat in Dubai. I love the balance of taste of this pizza, The tomato sauce tasted perfectly well with the mozzarella and goat cheese. Looks like I have a new favorite pepperoni pizza. Highly Recommended!!!!
Bresaola Loves Rocket - Seasoned tomato sauce with mozzarella, baked then topped with deli-thin sliced Bresaola and piled high with fresh rocket leaves and shaved parmesan.
What I love about this Italian-inspired pizza is that the Bresaola and rocket leaves tasted so good together. I am a fan of the taste of rocket leaves on my pizza. The ones around here are fresh and tasty. A very good pizza choice.
DESSERTS:
Salted Rice Krispie Treats - Homemade classic rice crispies. This classic dessert is simple yet delicious. The crispies are just perfect at every bite. Apple Pie - Fresh apple slices with cinnamon and nutmeg, baked on a home-made crust with a buttery crumble topping. This apple pie dish is just amazing. I love this topped with a vanilla ice cream. it's a sure favorite. :D Caramel Slice - Biscuit base with a hint of coconut, layered with a chewy homemade caramel and topped with chocolate. This gooey dessert is too sweet for my liking. Lava Cake - Chocolate cake with a gooey chocolate lava inside. This lava cake has an ample amount of chocolate lava inside. Though more chocolate lava could have made this better.
I was very happy to have found this hole in the wall pizza parlor at the Greens Village. I had probably tasted the best pepperoni pizza in my life. The pepperoni came from Las Vegas and only two restaurants are using the same high quality of pepperoni. Luckily, I already found this one. Can't wait to try more pizza from them.
Thank you PFire for having me. :D
