Hidden in the Upper Changi Area of Singapore, I'm Here is a cafe that offers an unusual yet alluring twist to draw people in. Apart from the usual nice and cozy setup, this place stands out in uniqueness for letting you dine with life-size cute and adorable teddy bears. You heard that right, Fluffy teddy bears are waiting for you behind this door. Reaching the place is easy, It is very visible from EXPO MRT and will probably take you around a 1-minute walk. From afar, you can already see the bears waving at you and getting excited about your arrival. Upon reaching the place, you'd probably expect how addicted the owners are with the concept of teddy bears for a cafe. Standing outside is a huge bear shaped plant that looks so good. A perfect stopover for some photographs. The place really lives up to its name. Open the door and you see bears just around every corner. Every table is assigned to a human-sized bear and there's also a small gallery where you get to see bears of different sizes. If you're a stuffed toy addict then this place might make you crazy (for real). Bears seated at each table are of the same size and there are around three different colors (white, gray, and brown) available. I gotta admit, I was fairly impressed at how obsessed they are with this teddy bear cafe concept. It really lived up to its name. Next thing on the list was to order for something to eat. They give you an Ipad for the menu but sadly it's still not yet that advanced to order your food directly on the iPad. The choices were quite limited but it had the complete package of a meal from starters, up to mains. Sadly wish they could add up some teddy bear inspired food/desserts. For starters, we ordered the following dishes: TRUFFLE FRIES (SGD 13) - A bowl of fries tossed in truffle oil and topped with parmesan cheese with chives. The perfect appetizer for me. Though it was not the best truffle fries that I had tried (It lacked the aroma and rich taste of truffles for me), I still enjoy munching this truffle snack. SEXY CHICK'S WINGS (SGD 13) - Spicy Honey Glazed chicken wings served with a handful of salad. This Korean inspired honey glazed dish is a popular item in their menu. It's a no brainer why this dish is hailed as one because it actually tastes pretty good and is highly addictive! I love the combination of sweet and spicy of it and the chicken wings are deep fried perfectly. Just looking at it makes me want to order some more. For the pasta, We ordered the Chicken Pesto Linguine (SGD 15.90) - Linguine pasta tossed in pesto sauce with Roma tomatoes and chicken meat topped off with rocket leaves. This one was another good item on the menu. It had a fair amount of pesto sauce and the bitter taste of rocket leaves added a unique blend of taste. I don't with you but I'm actually a big fan of rocket leaves. I enjoy it a lot in pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. :D We skipped the mains and ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza (SGD 20) - An 8-inch pizza filled with three different type of meat. This pizza is quite heavy for the stomach. It tasted good but lack some flavor to make it outstanding. Though, I personally find the pizza serving small. Had fun spending the day here with the bears. A good place for lone eaters to dine in and a perfect spot for a valentines date. Love the cozy ambiance though a negative thing that I can say is that they have a rude and unentertaining staff. Hope they can fix this issue as it can be detrimental to the business. Furthermore, I hope that in the near future they can introduce cute teddy bear inspired dishes that's aligned with their theme. Because without their teddy bear concept cafe, I doubt that this pace will survive with all the inventive dishes that's all over Singapore. Don't get me wrong, the food here is quite decent but there's nothing special about it that would let you travel all the way to Expo MRT.
