Ten Street is a new Canadian-inspired pub that has recently opened its doors in Dubai offering good value brunch packages that are of great value for your money.
Was recently invited to try out Ten Street newest offering which they called Beatbox Boogie Brunch. You can choose from different options ranging from 195 AED to 375 AED. What's best about this treat is the unlimited use of their karaoke, pool table, and not to mention the inclusive of unlimited selected alcoholic beverages.
The place has a very good spot in JBR, It offers brunchers a great view outside overlooking the pristine JBR beach with its numerous activities. In addition, the place also has a very good DJ that can keep the vibe up.
The brunch itself has pretty good options depending on your package. We managed to order some but due to the quite vast options, there were some that we missed. Don't worry, I believe we got some of the best dishes that you can try out covered. :D
For our package, we were able to have unlimited servings of all their appetizers, an option of one main course, a dessert, and an unlimited glass of selected wines and beers.
For the appetizers, we had the following:
Crispy Calamari - Deep fried squid rings coated in panko breadcrumbs, served with a light lemon aioli.
This crunchy treat was quite bland in terms of taste. This needs improvement and should have more flavor.
Hot Buffalo Wings - Crunchy Buffalo Wings served with maple glaze, celery, and blue cheese.
This one is worth the order. It was perhaps the best buffalo wings that I've tried in the city. I love the honey coating of this dish and the blue cheese dip was highly addicting.
Cod Goujons - Fresh strips of cod lightly breaded and served with tartar sauce.
I didn't quite like this one. The taste of the fish was too bland and the cut was too big.
Poutine - Homemade steak cut chips topped brown gravy and American cheese.
The whole dish is good if it's serving aroung 4 people above but you can't really have too much of this because it's a dish full of carbs.
Smoked Chicken Salad - Fresh romaine lettuce tossed with smoked chicken, veal bacon, croutons, parmesan, avocado, and homemade caesar dressing.
I love this chicken salad so much that I actually ordered another one. The Caesar dressing has the balanced taste you need for a salad and the green veggies are fresh and crunchy. I could turn to a vegetarian just for this dish.
Chicken Tenders - Crispy chicken strips served with a creamy sriracha dipping sauce.
This chicken tender hits just the right spot. The chicken was tender and juicy. I love the sriracha sauce that comes with it. A good appetizer for beers.
Salmon Eggs Benedict - Bagel bread base topped with fresh salmon and perfectly poached eggs.
This dish tasted just about right in the middle of good and bad. I like how perfect the poached eggs are and how it went well with salmon. What I didn't like was that the salmon was too salty.
For the mains, we had the following: Fillet Steak - 6oz prime black Angus beef with sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, and homemade steak cut chips. Served with brown gravy. The steak was perfectly grilled to medium well as requested and I love how juicy the steak is. The brown gravy that comes with it delivers intensifies the flavor of the meat. Sushi Pizza - Crispy Fried Rice base topped with avocado, smoked salmon, wasabi, ginger, nori, and spicy kimchee mayonnaise.
This innovative dish is my personal favorite. It was my first time to see such creation and I love how everything went well together. It was a very lovely dish to try.
For the desserts, we ordered:
Mom's Apple Pie - Homemade individual apple pie served with a custard and vanilla ice cream.
This apple pie tasted so good. It has a subtle taste of cinnamon in it and the vanilla ice cream was its perfect match. A very good dish to end the meal.
Cookies and Cream Cocktail - Bacardi white, creme de cacao brun, vanilla gomme, whipped cream, and crushed oreo.
This cocktail dessert tasted a bit like the baileys chocolate drink. It had a subtle punch in it but the Oreo flavor was rich and good.
We also tried some alcoholic drinks. Among our favorites are the following: The Empire Likes Jack - Charcoal Banana infused with Jack Daniels, smoked maple syrup, and Angostura.
The look of this drink is quite intriguing and the taste will give you the same feeling but in a good way. I love how unique this drink tasted.
Some Like it Hot - Stolichnaya Vodka, red and yellow tomato, lime, spice mix, sugar, and tobasco.
The spiciness of the tobasco sauce is quite evident in this drink. For those who loves to try out new things. I recommend this one it's a really weird drink.
You can also have an unlimited glass of red and white wine and draft beers such as Stella Artois.
We truly enjoyed our brunch at Ten Street with its good value for money brunch packages and high-quality food. One can never go wrong to dine here. It's one of the best places to spend time with your friends and have fun til sunset. The brunch ends around 4PM but that doesn't mean you can't hoard some beers nor order some food and eat/drink til you drop. :D
