Located in the quaint area of Sultan Gate, A.R.C Coffee occupies a 3-storey high building offering 3 different services for the people to consume. Also known as (ACADEMIC. ROASTERY. CAFE.), the 1st floor of the building is solely dedicated to the cafe part of the acronym. The second floor is the academic area for baristas to master the art of making lattes and other activities. We arrived here at dinner and one thing I love about the place is how hipster the feels was. It had a very laid-back setup and cool interiors. I believe it is a very good place to visit in the morning. The interiors of the place is on point. I love their white brick walls and round tables. Though the size of the cafe is fairly small, thus it can only accommodate few people. The menu here is quite extensive. They have a lot of dishes that you can enjoy from starters, sides, brunch, mains, dessert, and various coffee types. We started off by ordering a Flat White and Cappuccino. I'm no expert in judging the taste of a coffee but I find their coffee good. It had a fair punch that kept me awake all night. Also, they make a pretty cool latte art. We then proceed by ordering our mains and these are what we got: Ray's Ben(SGD 19.80) - Poached Eggs, Classic French Style Hollandaise Sauce, 8 hours slow-braised pull pork, Homemade Brioche, and Mesclun Salad. One thing to love about this dish is how perfect they poach their eggs. The taste of the overall dish, however, was quite the normal. Didn't tasted anything spectacular about this dish. Dubbed as the reigning crowd favorite, I would have to say that its a bit overrrated and I find the Homemade Brioche to heavy and bland. Though I find the pulled pork tasty and good. Also, the vegetables used were fresh and crunchy. Next thing on our table is this SEAFOOD PESTO (SGD 20.80) - Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce with prawns, scallop, squid, and mussels. This goes to the list of best tasting pesto pasta that I have tasted. The pesto sauce used here is quite abundant. The pasta really has that strong garlic and pesto flavor that makes pesto great. The seafood also added that extra touch. You should try this dish!!!! That was a dinner well served, Well that applies for the Seafood Pesto pasta. I'm not quite convinced that Ray's Ben is worth the try but the next time I visit; Would certainly grab a plate of that Seafood Pesto.
